Why we started Daryl Buys Houses
I spent 16 years working in corporate IT in London. Long commutes, long hours, and very little time for the things that actually mattered. In 2017, I started investing in property in Stoke on Trent while still working full time, building a small portfolio of rental homes and learning the local market inside out.
When I eventually left the corporate world, I had a choice. I could carry on quietly building my own portfolio, or I could use everything I had learned to help other people too. I chose the second option.
Daryl Buys Houses exists because I saw too many homeowners stuck in situations where the traditional estate agent route simply was not working for them. Properties sitting on the market for months. Sales falling through. People dealing with probate, debt, or difficult tenants and not knowing where to turn.
We offer a different route. One where you know exactly where you stand from day one, where there are no fees, no chains, and no uncertainty. We are not the right option for everyone, and we will always be honest about that. But for the people we can help, we make the process as simple and stress free as it should be.

Melissa
Melissa spent years working as a surgical nurse in the NHS. It is a job that teaches you how to stay calm under pressure, how to listen properly, and how to treat people going through difficult times with real care and respect.
She now works full time in the business, and those qualities shape everything we do. When you speak to us, you are not getting a sales pitch. You are getting a genuine conversation with people who understand that selling your home can be one of the most stressful things you go through.
